Freakum Dress #3 (It’s All In The Details)

Oh yeah…you need this lipstick by the way!  It’s MAC’s Flat Out Fabulous

Dress c/o Rachel Pally , Amazon Sandals, HSN clutch, ModDeals earrings

How many of you know that ruching is your friend? *raises hand*  Now I don’t like ruching on my blazers, but on a dress …yes please.  If you didn’t know, ruching is the slight gathering of fabric to form ruffles or petals, and I love how this detail on this dress gives my body a smooth and tight look.  It is a great detail because it offers flexibility in how you choose to wear an item. I am totally in love with this Rachel Pally number, and I could have easily pulled the dress up a bit for a shorter look because of the ruching feature.  When I showcased this dress in my Freakum Dress Lookbook on youtube it was the favorite hands down, and I can see why.  It is a dress that was made for curves.

Ruching is the perfect to detail to camouflage a tummy and any lumps and bumps.  It’s details like this that you want to look for when selecting a sexy dress.  You want to find a dress that really showcases your fabulousness in a major way and this dress gives me so much life!  Everything just works, from the color to the style.  I always find Rachel Pally designs really comfortable and this dress is no different.  It feels great when you are able to move freely in your clothing and look fantastic at the same time.

If ruching is not your thing there are many other details that can make a dress standout in special way.  Look for intricate dress straps, pay attention to fabrics, or focus on the cut of a dress.  The options are truly endless, but I am a true believer that it’s all in the details!  Thanks so much for all of your comments and for taking the time to share my posts on social media.  I am so glad that so many of you enjoy the series on my blog.
