Valentines Day is always an exciting day to dress up for, so I wanted to share with you what I will be wearing! Sometimes you need a little inspiration to start pulling your look together for that special day of LOVE.  I enjoy the process of planning looks, if I am not pressed for time (which is almost never). Depending on what your plans are for Valentines Day, you can go casual or dressy.  I do love the color red, but I also believe that wearing colors like purple and pink are perfect for Valentines Day as well.  I will be wearing this dress to school, with flats of course, but I plan to dress it up later on that evening.  So let’s get right into the look.

The Dress
Swak Designs Harlow Lace Dress | OneStopPlus
How beautiful is the color eggplant!  I really adore the femininity of lace.  I cannot wait to wear this dress because it fits perfectly. The best feature of A-line dresses is that they truly flatter every body type, and if you have no curves, this style really defines the waist.

The Shoes
Christian Louboutin Iriza Pumps | Saks Fifth Avenue
I recently ordered these shoes, and I am waiting patiently for them to arrive because I ordered the wrong size the first go-round.  I am hoping that all goes well, due to the fact that I have wide feet.  I anticipate that I could wear them with my dress because the look is overall classic, but a metallic pump would be just as stylish.  Of course I can’t wear these to work, but if my husband and I go out I can change into a pump.

The Clutch
Box Clutch  |  Boutique To You
I know for sure that I will be carrying a clutch, and I really love this embellished one.  I want to add a little bling via my handbag for this look.

The Jewelry
Two Tone Tassel earrings | Ralph Lauren
Although I love statement necklaces, I am not a big fan of wearing a lot of jewelry.  I definitely plan to keep my jewelry minimal because I don’t want anything to compete with the beauty of the lace dress.  I picked up these earrings on my latest shopping excursion, and I really like them.  They will look great paired with the dress because they are not too distracting.  I will probably wear studs to school, but I will add these tassel earrings that evening.

Well, this is the look that I envision in my mind, and if I can pull it all together you will see it in a future blog post! What do you think?  How would you wear the Harlow Lace Dress?

That dress is gorgeous cant wait to see it in an outfit post & I think you’re right, minimizing accessories to bring attention to the dress is a great choice!
